The Division of Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary, and Pediatric Sleep Medicine at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced BE/BC pediatric pulmonologist to work at the newly constructed Palm Beach office location. Those with fellowship training in sleep medicine are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a strong background in clinical pulmonology and have experience caring for patients with chronic and complex respiratory disorders such as cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease of prematurity, chronic asthma, general pediatric pulmonary disorders and pediatric sleep disorders. Competency in pediatric flexible fiber-optic bronchoscopy is desired as is a willingness to participate in graduate medical education. Clinical research initiatives will be fully supported by the Office of Human Research. The physician will join four other employed pediatric pulmonologists and may be eligible to start before the late-2018 clinic opening.
With plans to open in late-2018, the 30,000-square-foot newly constructed Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Pediatric Specialty Center - Wellington will be home to offices for a variety of pediatric specialists offering services to local patients in need of additional specialists. Services offered will include, but are not limited to, orthopaedics (sports medicine and surgery), neurology, otolaryngology, general surgery, endocrinology and pulmonology. Physicians will be part of the hospital-employed Memorial Physician Group at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers a competitive benefits and compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

About the Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary and Pediatric Sleep Center at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital The Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary and Pediatric Sleep Center at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is a nationally accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center certified by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. With approximately 150 patients, the division is comprised of a complete cystic fibrosis team including mental health, respiratory therapy, nutrition and social services specialists. Adult transition is seamlessly established under the direction of an adult specialist. Furthermore, as a nationally recognized facility, patients have access to some of the most recent treatment and research studies. Other programs of note include the multidisciplinary care of patients with neuromuscular diseases, a severe and chronic asthma clinic (rated among the nation’s top healthcare facilities for providing high quality pediatric asthma care) and a sleep clinic offering PAP therapy in addition to a hospital based, AASM-accredited pediatric sleep lab that studies over 500 patients per year.
