Physical Therapy Assistant - Out-Patient (Registry)

The Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA) is responsible for assisting the physical therapist (PT) in implementing the plan of care and treatment programs to restore a patient's/residents/ optimal function and mobility. The CPTA performs treatment commensurate with their education and training utilizing exercise, equipment and modalities to improve strength, balance, coordination, range of motion to decrease pain. The CPTA assists in providing education related to the retreatment program, disease process and prevention of further injuries to the patient/resident/family/caregiver and other members of the health care team. AA degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Current License for PTA from Montana. Temporary licensure as governed by the State Practice Act. Current BLS certification. |
