| This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Learn more The Minneapolis VA Health Care System, a large teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Minnesota, seeks full-time outpatient primary care physicians. At the Minneapolis VA, primary care physicians care for a panel of patients in a team-based environment that offers integrated in-clinic mental health, clinical pharmacy, and physical therapy services. A full range of consultative services is available on site, from preventive patient wellness programs to advanced medical and surgical specialties. The Minneapolis VA has active research programs and is a core training site for the University of Minnesota Medical School. Opportunities for academic engagement include (but are not limited to) teaching and clinical precepting for medical students and internal medicine residents. Internists may serve as teaching attendings on inpatient medicine wards for 1-2 weeks at a time. Essential qualifications of successful candidates include excellent interpersonal communication, creative problem-solving skills, and desire to work in a multidisciplinary primary care team. Experience in clinical education or quality improvement is preferred. Applicants should be BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Qualified candidates will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Work Schedule: Full time days
