This position is for a pediatric physical therapist at the M Health Pediatric Specialty Clinic in Woodbury, Minnesota.
As part of M Health Fairview, Pediatric Therapy provides OT, PT and Speech services at this location, which offers a wide range of medical specialties along with pediatric rehabilitation and has been designed to foster the highest level of collaboration between specialty physicians and pediatric therapists.
This pediatric physical therapist will be responsible for providing outpatient physical therapy in Woodbury and may have the unique opportunity to work in the multidisciplinary plagiocephaly clinic at the University of Minnesota Masonic Childrens Hospital. This position is benefit-eligible and is 64 hours per 2-week period (0.8 FTE).
In collaboration with patients and families, the Physical Therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within the scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.
To be successful the Physical Therapist must be able to:
Partner with the patient and family while performing the Evaluation/Re-evaluation
Develop an individualized plan of care through collaboration with the patient and family
Partner with patients and families to provide skilled intervention
Use acceptable medical terminology
Follow professional practice standards
Complete documentation in a timely manner per department standards
Comply with department billing standards
Prioritize tasks and patient care for effective time management
Understand and follow professional licensure/certification requirements
Direct team members and/or supervises students as designated
Pursue personal and professional development to support clinical best practice
Meet or exceed departmental standards for productivity
Identify opportunities for process /quality improvement
Participate in and supports entity/system initiatives
BS in Physical Therapy
PT registration/licensure in State of Minnesota
Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) certification by the end of orientation.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-year of experience in pediatric physical therapy
