You Will Be Responsible For:
Responsible for providing specific treatment only as directed by the staff Physical/Occupational Therapist.Adheres to standards of physical medicine practice for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric patients and the general patient population.
Assist with the transferring of patients to treatment surfaces (tables, mats, chairs or beds).
Assists patients in the preparation and at the conclusion of treatments, including positioning, dressing or undressing and draping.
Assists with clerical procedures used in Rehabilitation Services, such as registration, copying, answering phones, scheduling, typing, and development of forms, and breaking down charts for HIM.
Cleans equipment including aquatic pool and whirlpool and logs temperature checks according to department policies and procedures.
Ability to monitor vital signs, maintains adequate knowledge base regarding cardiovascular and respiratory precautions for the patient undergoing physical medicine services and treatments.
What You Will Need:
High school or GED
Ability to travel to and from the Gollier Center & RMH to treat inpatients and attend meetings
Current CPR within one month of hire
Valid Driverâ™s License
Completion of Rehab Aide course preferred
One year - Preferred
Responsible for provision and administration of specific therapy treatments only under the direct supervision of the staff Physical/Occupational Therapist.The Rehabilitation Aide as directed and supervised by the staff Therapist assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.The Rehabilitation Aide participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.Performs clerical duties, assists with posting of patient charges in the computer order entry system.Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.Assist with preparation, maintenance and cleanup of all treatment areas in the department according to established procedures.
