The role you’ll contribute:
Provides a safe learning environment for non-school age children. Assists in providing quality early learning, age appropriate activities and a total learning environment for the individual needs of each child. Establishes and maintains courteous, tactful and professional level of interpersonal skills. Responsible for all childcare issues including; curriculum, teacher / child / parent interaction, & maintaining all state rules pertaining to their age group.

• Guards safety of children at all times
• Develops and implements age appropriate curriculum (lesson plans) and goals to meet children’s developmental needs, licensing criteria, and department philosophy
• Prepares and follows leader approved lesson plans
• Supervises children and provides clear child expectations while using appropriate strategies for behavior management
Qualifications - Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field OR current Child Development Associate OR Staff Credential
- One year of experience in a child care setting
- Current infant/child first aid and CPR training as applicable per state regulation (Kansas Only – obtain with 30 days)
- Meet state guidelines in respect to background screening and fingerprint check if applicable to state guidelines
- Required annual in-service
- Preferred qualifications:
• Two years of experience working in a child care center
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field
