Atlantic Health System is seeking Full Time experienced Certified Medical Assistant for AMG Orthopedic Oncology in Morristown NJ.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the ambulatory practice functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing direct patient care.
The CMA functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when determining competencies and performing clinical tasks during patient care. The CMA reports to the Practice Clinical Supervisor or Practice Manager who is responsible for administrative supervision and orientation of the CMA to the area's policies and procedures.
The CMA will administer medications and immunizations, obtain vital signs, maintain an inventory of appropriate supplies, ensure safe and efficient patient flow, track high-risk referrals and lab tests, facilitate safe transitions of care, organize the practice environment to assure patient safety and quality health outcomes, and contribute to designated quality measures. Additional responsibilities include changing bandages, removing sutures and staples, loading radiology studies into computer system, administering and assisting patients with filling out questionnaires, scanning documents into medical records, facilitating patients to sign up for myChart.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma required
Qualifications/Requirements:
CMA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA and minimum two (2) years experience in a clinical setting required
