Advanced Perioperative Coordinator RN - Orthopaedic Surgery - Full Time/Days
SUMMARY: This position is accountable for serving as a consultant in the care of peri-operative patients and functions as an expert practitioner and role model by utilizing the nursing process to provide care to complex patients. The incumbent provides patient, family, and staff education; leadership in identifying and reviewing nursing clinical practice and procedures, equipment and processes that will enhance clinical operations and patient care outcomes. Serves as a patient and family advocate. The Perioperative Coordinator creates, implements, and evaluates developmentally/culturally appropriate education to meet the learning needs of the patient/family.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
- Minimum 3 years full time or equivalent current pediatric clinical experience required
- Bilingual skills desirable
- BLS HeartCode required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position
- Certified Nurse of the Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
POSITION DETAILS: Full Time, benefitted, 6 x 11.5-hour shifts per pay period, Day shift
PAY RANGE: $41.00 - $65.60
