Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Hospital Inventory Clerk to join our team.
Unit/Position Summary
Full Time
Responsibilities
- Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to records.
- Computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels.
- Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count. Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods. Re-stocks items as necessary. Labels shelves.
- May maintain, edit and troubleshoot case preference cards to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Liaises with vendors and purchasing agents, and prepares deliveries.
- Lead and initiate performance improvement projects that are relevant to inventory management.
- Provide subject matter expertise in and conduct all inventory-related activities.
- Lead other support staff and/or volunteers as assigned.
- Assist in analysis needed for supply expense variance to budget.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years' experience.
